Beginnings

We all know the stories of how creative people get into the business of creating for a living, but how did they start using their imaginations in the first place? On today's show, I talk to Jeff Rosenstock and Chris Farren of the band Antarctigo Vespucci. Both Jeff and Chris have been part of popular punk and indie rock bands for years - Jeff playing in ASOB (Arrogant Sons of Bitches), Bomb the Music Industry! and even Mustard Plug for a bit, and Chris playing with the Naples, FL group Fake Problems - and between the two of them, they've put out north of twenty albums. Their first together as Antarctigo Vespucci is called Soulmate Stuff, and mixes Blue Album-era Weezer with late-90s Superchunk to make one of the best albums of the year. It's out now on Rosenstock's DIY label Quote Unquote Records.
